LGBT PEOPLE HAVE FAMILIES
I know, shocking right? If a girl is born a certain way and ends up liking to kiss other girls, her mum might still claim to have a daughter! It's like love and support of the people who raised you still exists EVEN IF YOU'RE DIFFERENT FROM MOST PEOPLE! Also, gay people can have families of their own after they move out. They can find a life partner, adopt or surrogate some children, and be parents! So when you claim that LGBT rights should remain unlegalized because of "family values." You should really clarify "Straight Christian homophobic married family values." Because what about homes where the parents aren't married? Single parent homes? Mormon or Muslim homes with a father and multiple wives? What about two-parent married parents? Surely you support their rights. Unless they have gay children in which case being able to see their kid get married or have their grandchildren is just attacking the American family. The hypocritical stance that any family that doesn't consist of 100% married Christian heterosexual people does not constitute a family needs to be wiped from the argument. All you need to be a family is love. The gender of a couple has nothing to do with it.

LGBT PEOPLE CAN AND SHOULD BE ABLE TO MARRY
Let's get this out of the way right now. Marriage, as defined in the bible and as practiced all throughout history, is NOT BETWEEN ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN. In olden days it was seen as a business deal between families. Neither party had any say in the matter. As for how it was in the bible... Well, see this video. [link]

But that doesn't mean that marriage has no meaning. We all know that any free thinking person in modern day society knows that when two people are in love and want to be together for the rest of their lives, they get married. AND THAT INCLUDES GAY PEOPLE. Life partnerships, domestic partnerships, civil unions, call them what you will. Gay marriage exists. If two men or two women really want to refer to their boyfriend or girlfriend as their husband or their wife, you can't stop them.

And why would you want to? Why would you stop two people who love each other so much they want to be with only each other for the rest of their lives from doing that? And why would you claim it's an "attack on marriage" to give them the same legal rights as any other married couple? Your religion isn't an excuse to discriminate, your political views aren't either. Religion and conservative politics aren't in favor of divorce either. Even in the cases of spousal abuse and rape. Does that mean that you are forever bound to one person despite all cases of hatred and abuse simply because you put on a ring? No. Your personal beliefs do not define what constitutes a "marriage" so stop acting like it's YOUR place to decide MY rights.

LGBT PEOPLE CAN HAVE CHILDREN
"Mommy, why are those two men holding hands?" Conservative parents never shut up about how hard they think it will be to answer that question. "Well honey, some men fall in love with women. And some fall in love with men. It's just like mommy and daddy or Prince Eric and Ariel in the little mermaid, except they're both boys." Is that SO HARD? Little Becky will UNDERSTAND.
"Daddy, why do I have to go away? I love you! I don't want to live with a foster family! Don't let them take me away!" That statement is a LITTLE HARDER TO ANSWER, RIGHT? Well it's what a gay person has to deal with if their child was only legally the child of their partner and their partner dies. When you protect the children, why do you only protect the children of straight families? Why not protect ALL THE CHILDREN?


PROTECT MORALITY
Your faith is not my problem. LGBT people falling in love does not hurt anyone. The only justification anyone has for being homosexual, bisexual, or transgender as immoral or wrong is "the bible." See any of the videos by the person I posted earlier, you'll see that the bible has NO MEANING when it comes to what is morally acceptable in modern day.
Do you think spousal abuse, rape, the death penalty, murder, incest, or other horrible offenses found so commonly in the bible are wrong? Well SHAME ON YOU. Jesus and his friends did it! Why shouldn't we?
Also, gay people can have faith. It is between GOD AND ME whether or not being a sexually active gay person is morally acceptable. Not some random person on a voting ballot and me. If I choose not to loathe myself because a 2000 book says God hates me, I choose to do so. It's none of your business.


In conclusion, clarify your mission statement. It should be "Protect me and people like me and absolutely no one who is different or special because they are immoral and only I am a good person." LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. LOVE IS LOVE. PEACE OUT.
